Personal Review: Mel Bay Ukulele Heaven: Songs from the Golden Age of the Ukulele by Ian Whitcomb
    2. Ian Whitcomb along with Jim Beloff and Tiny Tim are the men behind the current ukulele revival. Most people are not familiar with a lot of these songs such as "Where Did Robinsin Crusoe Go with Friday on Saturday Night?" so the included CD of these hit songs from the past is instructional as well as entertaining. Ian like a lot of entertainers is from England where they recognise the merit of American Tin Pan Alley music to a greater degree than is the case here. The songs in this book are great for perfomers in talent shows as well as for private strumming and will have you looking for more from the early 20th century. Highly recommended.
