As far as writing tips go, you will find the usual main advice on putting a
story together, plotting, story ideas, setting and atmosphere, dialogue,
point of view, etc.
What is unique about this book is that you have the opportunity to get into
the mind of one of the funniest and most successful authors around.
Throughout the book Evanovich uses extensive examples from the
Stephanie Plum series to make her point.
Janet's daughter Alex is her webmaster, among other things. When the
website was constructed in 1996, Alex began a question and answer
series that is still going strong today. This book is constructed from those
Q&A's, providing readers with the answers others have asked throughout
the years.
Along with the usual writing advice, Janet gives readers a look at a day in
the life of a writer, and shares much information about her personal life.
She shares how her career got started, the pitfalls to watch out for, and
