Shines a practical light on the spiritual disciplines that have been in use since the time of Abraham. In a sense, every day of our lives is labor. Personal Review: Finding Our Way Again: The Return of the Ancient Practices by Brian D. McLaren This is one of Brian's BEST books by far [and I have read most all] although my cover said there was an introduction by Phyllis Tickle and my copy did not have it. This is the first in the series and I have read this one and In Constant Prayer and I will for sure be reading this entire set. Brian has a lot to say on how we as Jesus followers have a lot of "belief" but not a lot of "lifestyle." How do we get to the place where we are living out our faith? How will a broken world see the beauty of the church if it isn't lived out and have we all lost something as we drift further and further away from Acts chapter 2. In wanting to rediscover things like fasting, prayer, meditation, sabbath and the like, Brian's introduction is a fantastic brain starter into anyone looking to dive into the spiritual disciplines. Great - great book For More 5 Star Customer Reviews and Lowest Price: Finding Our Way Again: The Return of the Ancient Practices by Brian D. McLaren 5 Star Customer Reviews and Lowest Price!
