Beautiful book with beautiful pictures! I've read quite a few books on
pumpkin carving and decorating, and this is an excellent book. The ideas
are very fresh, sophisticated, and beautiful, especially for entertaining. All
of the ideas are very creative and use a variety of pumpkins, squashes and
gourds in new and exciting ways. Some of the ideas at the beginning are a
bit more child-friendly, using a lot of interesting plants and add-ons that
kids might not get to experience otherwise (cockscomb, waterlily pods,
sumac pods, etc). The techniques are also a bit simpler for those.
Overall, though, all of the projects look extremely polished and are fresh
takes on pumpkin decorating. I highly recommend this book to anyone
who's looking for something more than regular pumpkin carving patterns
that still looks fantastic.
