Catch Me If You Can! (Green Light
Readers Level 2) by Bernard Most
Reading Recovery
He has huge claws and enormous feet. He has a big tail and great big
teeth. He’s fierce, and everyone runs and hides from the biggest dinosaur
of them all. But one little dinosaur doesn’t hide--she knows her gargantuan
grandpa is the sweetest dinosaur of them all. Beloved author-illustrator
Bernard Most adds an irresistible pair of larger-than-life creatures to his
wild and wonderful dinosaur menagerie.
Personal Review: Catch Me If You Can! (Green Light Readers
Level 2) by Bernard Most
One of the most important aspects to this new series of books, is that the
texts are consistent with the type of book used in the Reading Recovery
program. Previously, if you wanted supplemental books for your child that
were predictable, had rhyming or repetitive text and real picture cues, you
had to wade through the lists made available, title by title. There are
hundreds of books that fit this description, but it takes hours to search for
individual books. Green Light Readers promises to publish strictly this
type of book. And the few I've seen are still current, use popular authors
and are lively and interesting. I hope the publisher takes this idea even
past the first two levels.
