Finally Gain the Competitive Advantage with Customer Reviews

This article might be a tad long to read, but if you care about your shop's position in Google's search results, read on. Plus it solves a mounting problem that most small businesses face today, how to finally take control of your online reputation.

If you have been doing any searching in Google lately, you must’ve noticed that reviews from Yelp and Google+ Local (aka Google Map Directory) occupy 30 to 40% of the top of the front page of search results.

Needless to say, most people looking for products or services, would click on those listings to read the reviews, before looking at anything else in the page. This tells you that Google is giving top ranking hierarchy to businesses with a fairly good amount of positive reviews.

While companies like Demand Force and Customer Link do a very good job on acquiring reviews, not one company can post the reviews they obtained, directly to Yelp, or Google+ Local. Regardless of what some of those companies’ sales reps might claim, none are allowed to post directly to a business profile. Only registered users (and verified) by Yelp and Google, can write and post said reviews.

Building Positive Customer Reviews

Suggestions by both companies, Demand Force and Customer Link, on how to get your customers to post reviews to Yelp and Google+ Local, are many.

However, up until now, there hasn’t been an easy to use, automated system, that would address this need. After extensive research for over a year, looking a system that would effectively help auto shop owners manage their reviews, I was fortunate to come across GetFiveStars.
Managing Online Reviews

The system works as simply, as just entering your customer’s first and last names, plus their email address. All the email templates to use are pre-configured by our team, prior to activating access to your account dashboard. When your customer receives the email request and replies with his review, you receive an email notification. If the review is satisfactory to you, there is an on and off switch to turn it live at your website’s testimonials page, at your discretion. As part of the initial set up, we install a widget in your website, which allows the reviews to be posted automatically.
