    • Decorative Mouldings
      • You can enhance the beauty of almost any house with decorative mouldings . It doesn’t matter if it’s a new or older home there is a wide range of decorative mouldings that would work. Many homes just have a simple floor baseboard and small casings around windows and doors. This is where one can get creative by picking the type and style of moulding that you want to accent that area. You can use decorative mouldings in so many areas of your house you would be surprised.
    • Decorative Mouldings
      • This is a job that can be done by yourself yet advised that one really knows what they are doing as its not simple. Unless really skilled most people hire someone to do the decorative mouldings for them. It is found to be much easier to explain to someone else what it is you need. Quite often it’s cheaper in the long run as the job gets done right the first time and done well.
    • Decorative Mouldings
      • The most common types of decorative mouldings are:
      • Baseboard – this moulding is installed at the bottom of a wall against the flooring to cover the gap between the two surfaces. One can get quite creative with their choices here.
      • Casing- This moulding is used to fill the gap between a window and wall or a door and wall.
      • Crown moulding_- This type of moulding is used to fill the gap between the wall and the ceiling. The size of the room and the height of the ceiling determine what size crown moulding you will use

      • Decorative mouldings can also be used on banisters, stairways and spindles. Use of them can really spruce up this area. There are also some tips for choosing, measuring and buying the decorative mouldings for your home:
      • Consider the style of your home- choose your moulding to coordinate with your home. You may not want to choose a roman design if the rest of your house is modern.
      • Determine the size to buy- the purpose of decorative mouldings is to enhance a room not over power it.
      • Buy more than you think you need- draw a plan of what you will need, then purchase a little bit more for joints and corner cuts.

      • Keeping in mind this is the time to be creative. Yet it doesn’t hurt to have a little bit of advice. This is to make sure you get the right product and you are getting the best price you can as well.
