Scientists have found that it is much easier for a human’s brain to remember a picture than it is to remember long lines of pure text.
So, continue the presentation to know what is mind mapping and how can we benefit from it! This is exactly what a mind map provides!
It is a graphical way to represent ideas and concepts.
Mind mapping is a strategy for helping students order and structure their thinking through mentally mapping words or concepts.
Mind maps were developed by Tony Buzan as a way of helping students make notes that used only key words and images.
It takes a structured list of words or sentences, interprets it, and draws a mind map out of them.
It is a web application that converts texts to mind maps.
In other words, text 2 mind map can turn an outline into a visual map that is easy to interpret and modify.
The web site Text2MindMap.com was launched in late spring 2008.

The editing capabilities of Text 2 Mind Map are fairly limited because after saving the map as a jpg for future reference, you can’t go back and edit it. Home Next
Home Next make the map large enough to fit the entire computer screen. The physical look of the map can be altered to meet your needs after creating the map. In this box, which is located in the upper right hand corner of the map page, you will find several controls. Hold the map in it’s place whenever you drag the other tabs of the map. If you didn’t select the “freeze map” option, the whole map moves when you move one of the nodes.
Home Next shows the shading for the different levels of your map and coloring method gives you the option of coloring by branch or level. includes the color and width of the map lines.

The Text 2 Mind Map takes a list of words and creates a map.
The words for the map need to be listed in an outline form using the tab key for indenting and the shift-tab key for outdenting.
The first word of your list, which is supposed to be the title, will become the center of the map.
- In this example, Mindmaps will be the center of the map
This will be the result after clicking on Convert to Mind Map.
Now, you can change the appearance of your mind map including the font size, colors, and line width.
