Part of increasing the speed of your metabolism involves staying active and increasing muscle. 3. Yoga certainly will help you increase your activity level and may even give you more energy throughout the rest of your day! 4. Body weight poses in yoga will help build muscle, which burns more calories. 5. Yoga burpee is very beneficial for boosting your metabolism. The best part is the yoga burpee involves your whole body and uses dumbbells for an extra burn!
  4. 4. Yoga Burpee 1. Start at the front of your yoga mat with two dumbbells. 2. Place the dumbbells on the front of the mat. Step into a plank position. 3. From the plank position grab the dumbbell with your right arm and complete one row on your right side. Then grab the dumbbell with your left arm and complete one row on the left side. 4. Next, hop or step into a standing position. With one dumbbell in each hand complete a bicep curl. Then, with the dumbbells still in hand, complete an overhead press. You have completed one yoga burpee.

To begin twisted chair pose start in a standing position with your feet and legs together. Start to sit back, like you are sitting in a chair, by bending at your knees then allowing your hips to sink backward. 3. Place your palms together in front of your chest and twist your back to bring your right elbow to your left knee. 4. Hold this yoga pose for 30 seconds.
