We learned about the last ten years how to make WebPages accessible. But the WebPages changed dramatically. They became fully interactive applications with a lot of new models of interaction. Additionally the web became our all day companion - as well for persons with disabilities. This created new challenges for accessibility but on the same time a lot of new chances for a new kind of accessibility.
This talk will give some insights how WAI-ARIA, open APIs and Javascript in general increased accessibility.
Finally bridging to the mobile web the talk will provide a view out of the box. Examples how applications not primarily intended for persons with disabilities changed their daily live. The talk will close with a engaging view into the future to encourage everyone to provide new digital services in an accessible way and perhaps shaping a new great inclusive world.
