Visual Motivation
There are few things that can subtly bring up the greatest
attributes of who you are and what you have accomplished,
more so than a Legends Table.
Geography has a way of allowing your story to emerge with
depth and authority before you ever say a word.
By casting a vision in a pictorial manner, a whole organization
has something to rally around in pursuit of lofty goals.
Rather than constantly reminding your team, allow a Legends
Table to penetrate them on a daily basis through art that is
actually functional in the workplace.

Chautauqua is a cultural center, it is
a community, a learning center, a
retreat, a vacation destination, and
an American Utopia. The Lake

We Will Help You Identify Your Map
You may not be able to think
of how a geographical
location exemplifies your
legend at first, but that is
why we have story experts to
walk you through this
journey.
Our seven step process is nothing
short of legendary itself. When
we are finished determining the
theme you want to express, just
the right map will become evident
in the results.
And there is nothing that says you
have to stick with just one map.
A common trend is to determine
the past, present and or future
themes of one’s life and string
them together, morphing one
map into the next for a rich and
bountiful story.
We’ve even used this concept to
build visual representations of
where a business or organization
is planning to go in their future as
a means of focus and motivation.

A natural map can be an area from a
neighborhood to a whole country.
A Natural Landmark
Where You Were Born
Where Your Grew Up
Where Your Company Started
Where You Fell In Love
Where You Had A Turning Point
Where You Want To Retire
Man-made landmarks often hold as
much or more meaning than natural.

TWO KEY APPROACHES
11. ArtifactTimber.coArtifactTimber.co
Once we have your story and a map determined, we take great care in
translating it into a piece of art that functions as your Legends Table.
Our Process
1. Our cartographer (yes, an actual
cartographer) will draft your map
using researched data points and
those you may provide.
2. The image is transferred to our
state-of-the-art CNC Router to be
transferred to a 1.75 inch solid slab
of clear black walnut hardwood.
3. Your table is then sanded, profiled,
and finished to with a satin sheen.
Our finishing process ensures a flat,
seamless, and un-varying top
surface.
4. Your table is then mounted and
displayed on an equally impressive
hand-forged wrought-iron base.

Precision Cutting
The Beauty Is In The Detail
Your map isn’t a rough cut without any detail, in fact
it’s far from that. The 3D relief in the black walnut
makes it come to life in the space it occupies.
Ideal Finish
We have formulated a proprietary clear epoxy-
resin to completely fill and embed into the surface
where the router has cut out, resulting in a
transparent material “inlay” as opposed to a acrylic
covering. The beauty of your table will most
certainly remain in the finished warmth of the
black walnut.
Complete with scrollwork border, compass rose,
title and key, your map will be the most
cartographically correct map available. Especially
interesting will be where bodies of water are
represented to depth. The resin fill takes on the
visual qualities of water, and you will experience
the three-dimensional attributes of the
soundings.
