Throghout history astronome r s have formulated dif f erent t h eories about the U niverse.
Galileo Galilei realise that the S un was at the cent r e and that the E art h and the rest of the planets orbited around it. The Universe started w ith a hu g e explosion about 17 mill i on years ago. This explosion is known as The Big Bang .
Big bang The big bang t heory says that the U niverse began with a catacl ysm that creat e d space and time, as well as all the matter and energy tha t has ever exi s ted in the U niverse.
