The old Westover Branch Library at 1800 N. Lexington St . will cease public operations on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at 5 p.m.
The outdoor book drop for returning materials at 1800 N. Lexington St. will be sealed on Sept. 26 at 5 p.m.
Library materials may be returned at the drop slots for the new Westover facility at 1644 N. McKinley St. after 5 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Those returned items will be retrieved and checked back into the collection on a regular basis.
Materials may also be returned at all other Arlington Public Library locations.
All holds designated for pick-up at Westover will be at Central Library when they become available between Sunday, Sept. 27 and Friday, Oct. 30.
The new Westover Branch Library will officially open to the public at 1644 N. McKinley St. on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m.
A community open-house celebration for the entire Reed-Westover facility will also begin Saturday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Reed-Westover facility will take place on Friday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m.
