The Preliminary pages is divided into nine parts
First part is the flyleaves the flyleaves are blank pages next to the end papers
The frontispiece it contains drawings which is about the subject matter of the book
The title page it provides information about the book and it contains the subtle, author’s name, name of editor, name of illustration ,person who wrote the introduction, and the publication and publisher
Table of contents contains the pages and the topics
Dedication page it is the page to whom the author dedicates his/her book
Preface it is the page that contains the writer’s reason for writing the book
Introduction it contains description of the general subject
Illustrations it contains pictures,drawing,maps,etc
Copyright page it tells whether if the book can be copied with the publisher’s permission
The text only has one part and it is the body of the book
The body of the book is the actual words in the book
The auxiliary pages has five parts
Appendix it is a small section that contains additional information
Bibliography it has lists of books or other materials used as references
Glossary it is a mini dictionary found at the end of the book
Footnotes are note of references at the bottom of the page
Index are lists of topics discussed in the text arranged alphabetically
