Export controls and sanctions are a complex and growing area of international trade law. During the past few
years, there has been a significant expansion of international and national controls, together with a marked
increase in enforcement across a range of jurisdictions and industries. Companies and individuals in violation
of export controls or sanctions can face significant fines and potential criminal penalties, including, in some
instances, prison sentences. It is, therefore, vital for companies to implement robust and comprehensive
compliance programs, both streamlined at a global level and tailored, where necessary, to relevant
jurisdictions, all with a view to proactively managing export controls and sanctions risks.
LawInContext has designed a consistent, dependable and comprehensive export controls and sanctions elearning
program from a global and regional perspective that goes beyond what is currently offered on the
market today.
