The Sales Pitch

  1. 1. The Sales Pitch Inthe next fortnight, you need to prepare your sales pitch. We are going to film your pitch (Dragon’s Den style) in two weeks. Check my blog in the next couple of days for a (very poor) example -- I will link to your blogs tonight.

  3. 3. Dragon’s DenYou need to have ready:- Details about your band/album.- A script (this can be a full dialogue script or bullet point notes).- Perhaps some kind of presentational device (eg. PPT, flipchart, prezi).- Props?- Perhaps you could incorporate your storyboard.
  4. 4. These four Questions must beaddressed in your pitch1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?2. How effective is the combination of your first and second attempts?3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research and planning?
  5. 5. The set up in a fortnight… We will have four cameras set up (you will decide placement). You will do your pitch in your current groups. You will edit the footage afterwards (so you can remove mistakes!). Other members of this class will be your ‘Dragons’ You may plant questions from the judges, so you have pre-made answers at the ready.
  6. 6. You have the rest of the lesson tostart getting reading… go, fly, bebirds and spread forth your wings!
