A PRESENTATION BY OCCUPATIONAL HEALTHWHY DOES MY COMPANY NEED IT?
There are hundreds of occupational health companies chasing your business. Some of them are large multinationals where the service tends be less than the salesman promised and it’s only as good as the account manager who tends to move on pretty quickly if he or she is any good Some of them are single handed practices where a trained occupational nurse has set up on their own but they can’t handle the volume So how do you find a good Occupational Health Company and what should you expect of them? The following slides go someway to explaining the mysteries of occupational health and what you should expect from your provider If you don’t have a current provider or you can say that your current provider doesn’t meet all the following points then you need to talk to H&G Healthcare www.hghealthcare.co.uk

Help to match the right person to the right job
Ensure that the person is fit enough to carry out that role
Make sure that there is nothing in the job description that the potential employee will be unfit to do.
Check their previous medical history for potential concerns and problems
Advise on any adaptation that may be needed for the individual within the workplace
Ensure the company meets its ‘duty of care’
Ensure the company complies with the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act)
Safeguard the company against potential health problems later.
