    2. The Revenue Act of 1926
      • Reduced Inheritance tax
      • As well as personal income tax
      • Also limited public accession into Federal taxes

      • Gave the senate more power over filing Tax acts then they had had before.

    4. Smoot-Hawley Act
      • Signed into law on June 17, 1930.
      • This act Raised U.S tariff levels to new heights on over 20000 goods.
      • By Economist opinion this worsened the great Depression, because many countries were angered and their was some boycotts.
      • Supposed to help farmers by raising tariff levels on agricultural goods

    5. Bank Failure
      • 1920’s there were lots of banks nationwide.
      • As farmers had less and less money to spend in town banks began to fail.
      • When the banks failed people lost there life savings and became terribly poor.
      • Some say it was the failure of banks that caused the depression others say it was other economic issues.

    6. Federal Reserve
      • Used in the depression to balance banks
      • It Failed.
      • IT WORSENED THE DEPRESSION BECAUSE THE US DOLLAR WAS DEVALUED, AND MONEY DECLINED 2.6 PERCENT!!!!!!!!!!

      • In conclusion there were many factors that caused the depression some social and some Government.
      • I did not learn to much from this I already had a good knowledge of Pre-WW2 and WW2 itself. All I learned about was the Tax acts
