    •  Canis lupus. From the canidae family.
    •  Canada States: Alaska, Idaho, Michigan. Mexican wolves are found in New Mexico and Arizona.
    •  Large hoofed mammals. Beaver, rabbits and other small prey. Scavenger. Carrion
    •  Height: 26-32 in. Lenght: 4.5-6.5 feet. Weight: 55-130 lbs. Lifespan: 7-8 years in wild.
    •  Usually mate late winter. Locked into a copulatory tie which may last 5–36 minutes.
    •  The Gray Wolf is a highly social animal. Move in packs. Are usually made up of 5-12 members. Always one pack leader. Pack leaders track and hunt prey, choose den sites, and establish the pack’s territory.
    •  Virtually extinct in Europe. Wolves have been eradicated from much of their primary living areas. When they do make a kill, they eat all they can. Sometimes up to 15 lbs of flesh.
