Carta abierta a Barack Hussein Obama - Versión en inglés /// Open Letter to Barack Hussein Obama – English - Presentation Transcript

    1. Open Letter to Barack Hussein Obama – English Dear Mr. President Barack Obama: Several weeks ago I sent you a letter written in Spanish. Now, I'm writing to you this note in English; it contains very similar concepts to the developed in my previous message. This way, I hope you understand me better. This way, I hope English speakers better understand my reasoning, my said and my suggestions. In my previous letter -to which I referred recently- I started congratulating you for your successful campaign and for your nomination. And then I said more or less as follows: You, Mr. Barack Obama are a new Democratic president in this great country of the North American continent, and indeed you are the first African American president in your home country. This quite possibly will represent additional difficulties, while it will probably pursue new directions and positions, original, interesting, special, different lines to those developed and promoted by your predecessors. Mr. President, I wish you good luck in your presidential term. I personally hope that your mandate would be marked by sagacity and intelligence, and from the bottom of my heart, I hope you understand that money matters are on the basis of the major structural and social reforms that should be carried forward in the United States of America and the world. From the depths of my being, I hope that you invite your advisors to deeply explore the real possibilities of bringing forward some of the ideas promoted from Spain by the Joan Bardina Center, in relation to what in Anglo-Saxon literature is known as "book-money" or "telematic money" or "telematic currency". Your advisors and counselors will easily find interesting information on this subject at the official site for that Spanish organization; this documentation is in English and Spanish, as well as in various other languages, please see: http://www.bardina.org From my humble point of view, telematic currency is called to fulfill a significant role in our social organizational structure, and therefore it would be better if this issue urgently goes to the top of the media and political agenda. By the way, my suggestion is not directed to adopt the original proposal by Agustí Chalaux without knowledge of it. His original draft might well be the starting point, as there will be details to be changed because there will probably be approaches adapted to local circumstances of the country concerned. Oh, Mr. President, I almost forget. There is also another important and disturbing issue: the use of dollar in the global economy. This is not logical and coherent, as in the current imbalances there are obvious and irritating inequalities. Impel your advisors to consider the matter, for the sake of humanity, and for the sake of your country. 1 / 2 - Autor: Juan Carlos Anselmi Elissalde Digimundo al servicio de la comunidad, Digimundo atendiendo necesidades de los usuarios
    2. The solution might be to create a truly international currency, such as an imitation of or likeness to Bancor, proposed by the economist John Maynard Keynes. Think about it, Mr. President. If you are the one to take such an initiative, most likely in your hands will also be some very important definitions of the details regarding the transition period and the final solution. This way, if you lead this structural change, you may be in the privileged position to make the transition less traumatic for everyone. Thereby, you may get your own country prepared for this transition. Think about it, Mr. President. An international currency not directly linked to a particular currency or a group of currencies, sooner than later it’s something that is going to impose. So you better take the initiative yourself. Again I wish you much luck and success in your presidential term. It's really my sincere wish. And finishing this note, Mr. President, I send to you my best and most sincere feelings.
