Thecontractual brief explains theduties required and how thecompanys schemes works. Itexplains how much theemployee will receive. Itincludes areas such as what theemployee is agreeing beforesigning it. A contractual briefmust also include the generalliability insurance. It is a legalcontract between advertisingcompanies and its client whichdescribes the duties required aswell as the price and paymentsterms.I understand thatthis brief is a legaldocument that isbetween the clientand company. It isa brief that must besigned and copiesare made for theclient. 3. 3. InformalThis type of brief is done face toface through a meeting, allaspects of the brief must appealto all members from the clientlist, the advantages of doing aninformal brief is that it cancreate a relaxed environmentand their be created a lotquicker, the disadvantages of aninformal brief is that it can beseen as unprofessional andunclear. In comparison to aformal brief, aninformal brief is doneface to face. It givesthe clients andemployees anopportunity tounderstand exactlywhat they have to do,however I realise thatthis can been seen asan un professionaland will only be usedfor short briefs forsmall close workingcompanies.- Socialnetworking- presentationskills- Timemanagement- Workindependently orin a group ofpeopleCommissionThis is when a TV broadcaster, such as the BBC, employs anindependent productioncompany to produce a programfor their schedule.I understand thatbefore a commissionbrief is sent out theclient will researchinto detail the typesof people who theywant to employ tomake sure they arecertain they are rightfor the company orproduct.- Timemanagement- Good workethic- Understandingof professionalsoftwares

Theadvantages are that it is veryrelaxed and easy however thedisadvantages are that you maynot be chosen as the final client.I understand that thisbrief is similar to thecompetitive brief. This brief is slightlydifferent as theemployees can askfor guidance from thecompany whereas acompetitive briefwould have no othercontact from thecompany. The onlyinformation wouldthey would receivewould be sentthrough on the brief.- Presentationskills- work wellunder pressure- learn how tobetter yourcompetitiorsCo – operative briefA co-operative is a group ofpeople acting together to meetthe common needs andaspirations of its members, sharing ownership and makingdecisions democratically.Co-operatives are not aboutmaking big profits forshareholders, but creating valuefor customers – this is whatgives co-operatives a uniquecharacter, and influence ourvalues and principles.I understand that thisbrief focuses on thequality of customerservice.
