In June 2007, the Board approved the development of a plan to implement trimesters at Trenton High School for the 2008-2009 school year. <ul><li>Well-rounded high school education and experience </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain and expand current course offerings </li></ul><ul><li>Meet the needs of all students – struggling, advanced, and average </li></ul><ul><li>Options for assistance and interventions </li></ul><ul><li>Recover credit more readily </li></ul><ul><li>Opportunities for enrichment / acceleration </li></ul><ul><li>Potential for flexibility and creativity in schedule </li></ul><ul><li>Student and teacher load </li></ul>During 2007-08, a High School Task Team was formed for the purpose of recommending a schedule that best implements the Michigan Merit Curriculum and meets the needs of Trenton High School students.
