      • Capitalise on the immense treasure of experiences to be found in the framework of decentralised actions of Socrates Programme, i.e. Comenius and Grundtvig partnerships

    • 4. The EST project since 2000 GOLD
      • Global On Line Documentation The database was created for:
      • documentation - monitoring - final reporting of Comenius1 and Grundtvig 2 learning partnerships
        Attempt to build on and go beyond GOLD A five-year experience with the Italian national database provided precious and ample feedback from users

    • 6. EST is composed of national databases, located and managed in participating country servers which form part of a network . A common metadata model and multilingual retrieval tools , allow for simultaneous searches A shared database

Strong points with European and world-wide acknowledged standards (Dublin Core, Isced, Nuts, European Treasury Browser) User friendliness Efficiency Multilingualism Compatibility many fields in EST are pre-filled through imported data from Soclink National language versions for DATA INPUT and SEARCH

      • Easy to install and mantain by Agencies
      • User friendly for research
      • Open to public users

      • The Search page is translated in national languages
      • The use of a vehicular language in project’s and product’s descriptions allows consultation by users from different countries
      Is performed using a common metadatamodel available in different national language versions
