Persona Design Microteaching Lesson

This 5-minute presentation is created for the purpose of evaluating my teaching skills as a part of Syracuse University's TA Orientation. I chose persona design because it is accessible to understand and can be demonstrated quickly and effectively in the classroom with no prior knowledge assumed of the participants.

  2. Slide 2: What is a persona? • A persona answers the question, “Who is this designed for?” • Personas are used for software and information system design • Using personas in the design process improves the product’s usability • Personas represent the product’s users in realistic detail
  3. Slide 3: Quick & Dirty Persona • I’m going to call on you one at a time for pieces of the persona. Just answer off the top of your head as quickly as you can. • In practice, some of these answers would be based on real user demographics.
