modern fibreglass and synthetic weave pots and planters.

36. ALL WEATHER WICKER
All Weather Wicker furniture is hand
woven High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
with premium synthetic ISO certified
polyethylene fibers such as Viro®, Rehau®,
Ecolene®, and Bold Fiber® which are
certified by SGS, highly flexible, contain
UV resistants, heat protecting agents
and impact hardeners, thus making it an
ideal product for the outdoor use in any
environment.
These fibers are designed to be
insensitive to temperature differences
ranging between -25C +60C. When
temperatures are below 0C, the weave
will become somewhat stiffer than usual
and in extremely hot temperatures the
weave will become more elastic. However,
the furniture will retain its normal elasticity
once the temperature stabilizes.
AWW is 100% recyclable and are resistant
to chlorine and salt water. Kudos Global’s
AWW furniture with this type of material
can be left outside all year round and is
able to withstand virtually any outdoor
environment. It is washable, recyclable,
non-toxic and environmentally-friendly.

The wicker weave is a core focus in our collections and the furniture
is designed as a vehicle to optimally display the weave. The many
styles of weave transforms the traditional material into a modern
and sophisticated product, bringing relevancy to wickerwork in the
context of furniture design.
The visually stunning pattern made by the wicker craftsmen
captures the essence of the manufacturing technique and makes
apparent the high quality of the labor-intensive work. The design
turns the concept of wickerwork on its head, so that wicker is no
longer just a humble material for encasing functional furniture but
rather, it provides a challenging new dimension for contemporary
design.
38. POLYETHYLENE
The Injected Rattan collection is unique in that it is made from
injection moulded Polyethylene.
Polyethylene is reliable, it withstands tropical temperatures as easily
as it does the freezing cold. This sturdy material can easily take a
knock. Nevertheless, it is remarkably light and can be used in many
applications for outdoor furniture.
Polyethylene is extremely suitable for re-use. It is a thermoplastic
material, which means that it can be melted down and used for
making products virtually indefinitely.
The design for manufacture is very clever as melted Polyethylene is
pressed into a cooled mould. The contents set, the mould opens
and an all-ready product is ejected.

INJECTED RATTAN
39. Teak wood is a unique type of wood
that, if left in its natural state, is virtually
maintenance-free. It can be left outside
year round, surviving even the most
extreme weather conditions. Therefore,
teak is often considered to be the golden
standard of outdoor furniture. However,
over time as natural teak is exposed to
various elements, it gradually changes
color from the it’s golden honey of
new teak to a silver-gray patina which
distinguishes finely aged, outdoor teak.
Being a tropical hardwood, Kudos
preserves it’s gold standard furniture by
havingthehardwoodstainedwithnatural
teak oil which is often recommended to
preserve the natural honey colour or
to darken the colour of the wood. Teak
sealer contains UV protection to keep
the sun from graying the furniture as well
as a fungicide to prevent the growth of
mold and mildew on the surface.
TEAK WOOD
40. STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless Steel, also known as inox steel
or inox from French “inoxydable”, is a
steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5%
chromium content which does not
readily corrode, rust or stain with water
as ordinary steel does. This allows for
excellent corrosion resistance to Kudos
Global’s stainless steel furniture which is
essential for outdoor environments and
extreme weather conditions.
Simultaneously, stainless steel is a
constructional material. It’s mechanical
properties such as blocking oxygen
diffusion to the steel surface, and
blocking corrosion from spreading into
the metal’s internal structure makes
stainless steel an exceptional element
in functional and long lasting outdoor
furniture.
41. Aluminium is a light and tough metal
with an excellent strength to weight ratio
and corrosion resistance - making it an
ideal material for outdoor furniture as it
is very durable, does not rust, requires
little maintenance and has the ability to
take on any shape or style required.
The aluminium tubing standard is 1.6 to
1.9mm and the corrosion resistance of
Kudos Global’s aluminium furniture is
enhanced by pre-treating the aluminium
extrusions with a chrome conversion
coating that deposits a thin layer of
chrome on the surface.
The treated frame is subsequently
coated with an electro-statically applied,
powder coat finish. The electro-static
application method ensures 100%
coverage of the metal’s surface area and
provides a consistent and tough finish
that far exceeds other conventional paint
finishes. The resulting finish is knock and
scratch resistant, impervious to moisture,
highly resistant to corrosion and easy to
clean.

42. GELCOAT
Gelcoat forms the smooth outer surface of the
finished product.
Gelcoats are a critical part of most GRP laminates
as they enhance both the performance and the
appearance of the finished composite. A flat,
semi-gloss or high-gloss colour can be acheived
eliminating the need for painting. KUDOS
ensures good workshop practices and great care

prepared before gelcoating, for a smooth and
clean finish.

GRP
Design freedom and the easiness to work
fibreglass makes it an excellent alternative for the
manufacture of any furniture product as there are
few constraints on size, shape, colour or finish,
the styling and appearance can take precedence
over manufacturing costs.
In highly corrosive environments GRP is the
preferred choice over metal, wood, or plastic.
A popular choice where exposure to harsh
environments is a concern, GRP provides
resistance to ultra violet light, extreme
temperatures, salt air, and a variety of chemicals
including most acids.

GRP
Design freedom and the easiness to work
fibreglass makes it an excellent alternative for the
manufacture of any furniture product as there are
few constraints on size, shape, colour or finish,
the styling and appearance can take precedence
over manufacturing costs.
In highly corrosive environments GRP is the
preferred choice over metal, wood, or plastic.
A popular choice where exposure to harsh
environments is a concern, GRP provides
resistance to ultra violet light, extreme
temperatures, salt air, and a variety of chemicals
including most acids.
GELCOAT
Gelcoat forms the smooth outer surface of the
finished product.
Gelcoats are a critical part of most GRP laminates
as they enhance both the performance and the
appearance of the finished composite. A flat,
semi-gloss or high-gloss colour can be acheived
eliminating the need for painting. KUDOS
ensures good workshop practices and great care
is taken to ensure that mould surfaces are properly
prepared before gelcoating, for a smooth and
clean finish.

CUSHION FABRICS
KUDOS cushions use Sunbrella textile technology to create
cushions you can leave outside without giving them a second
thought. Sunbrella fabrics are water repellant, mildew resistant,
and easy to clean and will even hold up to spot cleaning with nail
polish remover or bleach. This allows you the freedom to carry on
with everyday life without worrying about unexpected spills that
are part of everyday living.
The foam core is a water - resistant, breathable, polypropylene
based material.The swelling seams prevent water from penetrating
the foam core.
