  • I’m here today to represent the china urban transport team.We have over 30 urban transport projects – the largest portfolio in the Bank.Big team in Beijing/DC – used to include Shomik (at the time that we started this project)

  • Partner agency focus was planningLong standing relationship with Bank (ideal for trust and project implementation) …But day-to-day feedback and problem correction not the core mandate
  • Tool used (Ushahidi) not tailor made for urban serviceseasy to use, versatile, free…but maybe not ideal for this applicationTool: in the meantime – lots of tools (datea.pe, seeclickfix, fixmystreet, etcetc)Civic hacking is now a crowded marketplace (good thing for us)Going early means often being wrong – but iterating to better solutions
