Students may not be dropped off before 7:00.
Parent drop-off is in parking lot on side of school.

More Dress Code….
Close-toe footwear is required. No open sandals or heels (basically, we can’t see your toes).
No wheels on shoes.
No backpacks that have wheels.
No electronic devices are allowed at school. Parents may allow their children to have a cell phone (at their own risk – we are not responsible for lost or stolen cell phones) for safety reasons. However, if a staff member sees or hearts it, it will be confiscated and turned into the office. A parent must come get it – we will not send it home with the child.
School Breakfast and Lunch
No glass containers, aluminum cans or soft drink containers are allowed.
Meals must be paid in advance by the week or month. Checks or cash accepted until 1:30 daily.
Free and reduced lunch applications need to be filled out and returned to school ASAP.
Extra Milk $0.40
No educational opportunities this year – these will be counted as unexcused absences.
Military leave is restricted to five days AFTER a parent returns from deployment.
A written excuse, stating the reason for the absence, must be sent to the classroom on the day the student returns with a parent signature.
Chronic tardiness, absences, and checking students out of school prior to dismissal have enormously negative effects on student progress. Research shows that students with 10 or more absences have lower reading levels, enjoy school less, and have lower report card grades. Most important, the largest predictor of a student dropping out of high school is how often they are absent in elementary school.
Students leaving school prior to dismissal much be checked-out through the office prior to 1:50.
Picture identification is required.
Checking-out from school prior to regular dismissal time more than 2 times per nine weeks will result in a child not being recognized for perfect attendance.
Withdrawal of Students
Parents need to call the office several days before a student is to be taken out of our system in order for teacher and office staff to complete all of his or her records.
All fees and money owed for pictures, lunch, damaged or lost books need to be turned in prior to the student leaving Baldwin.
Medicine will not be given to students unless a doctor prescribes it and completes the CCS Physician School Medication Form.
All medicine must be in the original container with label.
Medication can’t be sent to and from school by the child.
All medication is kept in front office.
Students will be allowed to use the phone for emergencies only.
All calls during instruction time will be forwarded to my voicemail unless it is an emergency.
Each child will have at least two parent/conferences per year. More conferences will be scheduled if needed.
Sorry, no snacks will be permitted in the classroom this year.
Students may bring a WATER bottle to class with them. No soda, Kool-Aid, or juice please.
Students may not pass out birthday invitations at school – even if they have one for the entire class.
No cupcakes/cakes/cookies/birthday parties will be taking place in the classroom this year.
PBIS is a proactive, data drive, systematic approach to teaching behaviors.
We expect all students to:
Treat everyone and everything with respect and dignity.
Be safe and orderly.
Take responsibility for learning and do your best at all times.
Do the right thing.
Each teacher gets 40 Baldwin Bucks to give out per week – 20 has to go to students in another class.
Students will be able to use this money at school store.
Volunteers and Observations
Volunteers must fill out security form before volunteering in any classroom.
Parents need to give classroom teacher at least 24 hours notice before coming to observe any classroom activities.
CCS Parent Module
3-5 students will have grades updated weekly by Wednesday.
Students must have at least 9 grades for each subject during each grading period.
All custody papers must be on file at school.
Custody papers must be signed by a judge.
I can’t tell a parent they can’t pick up their child from school without these papers.
Teachers and staff will escort students to buses and daycare first, then walkers and Prime Time, and finally parent pick up.
Any changes in a child’s dismissal procedures must be stated in a written note with parent signature. We can’t accept changes over the phone for security reasons.
MRS. FRASHURE’S CLASSROOM POLICIES

Literacy, spelling, and vocabulary will run from Wednesday-Wednesday. All of these tests will fall on a Wednesday.
