Actually any technological device weuse today can be considered as a gadget. Thereis a wide variety of gadgets nowadays that suitevery need you might have.
  3. 3. Etymology and thestory of the first gadgetThe etymology of the word is disputed. A widelycirculated story holds that the word gadget was "invented“when Gaget, Gauthier & Cie, the company behindthe repoussé construction of the Statue of Liberty (1886),made a small-scale version of the monument and named itafter their firm; however this contradicts the evidence thatthe word was already used before in nautical circles, andthe fact that it did not become popular, at least in the USA,until after World War I. Other sources cite a derivationfrom the French gâchette which has been applied tovarious pieces of a firing mechanism, or the French gagée, asmall tool or accessory.
  4. 4. When how & why were they created?Gadgets were created to solve people’sproblems. It is believed that the first device thatman created to help himself was the wheel. Thisitem has changed the human history anddevelopment. Although the term gadget isusually used for more complicated items thewheel is the object from which all the otherswere created.
  5. 5. Which are the uses of the gadgets?• There is no doubt that gadgets are useful to us. But how do they help us? For example take your mobile phone ,an everyday device, you use it to call someone, take a picture, play a game, make a note, listen to a song, check your email and so many others. However, there are and some other uses of gadgets. There are items that are used for storage (of toys, food etc.) or for protection (as cases). 6. 6. Different kinds of gadgets• Most of the items we use today can be considered as gadgets here are some common or uncommon that I found on the internet.
