«The years of occupation were years of joy and freedom." «Since we became unhappy from happy. And that's
why we chose the road of life and death was let inside. Mourning and glad together. We feared though. There
was a goal, the liberation».
Started from very small to deal with the theater teacher Vassilis Rotas. Larger in the years of occupation, and
after finishing school, she began acting at the Drama School of Dimitris Rontiris. Those years gained many
experiences, which later formed the basic issue of certain books and careers of actress of film and television.

In those years he met and Egyptian surgeon Marcel Karakosta, with whom she married and made two kids.
In 1962 he returned to Greece and began appearing in theater and cinema alongside household names of
actors. This period lasted until the time of the dictatorship, when Georges Sari and some friends of the actors
decided to make passive resistance and not play again in the theater. "I imagined that it would last so many
years of dictatorship ... Say seven months, not seven years! ".
That summer, devoid of any form of expression, he began to write his
first novel. The Treasure of Vagiasxekinise likes playing with children
who had been around, as it itself acknowledges. The book was first
published in 1969 and had great success, and was later transferred to
This was decisive for the Georges Sari, because since then decided to
turn to writing. Personal choice that justifies itself in an interview : " In
writing I found what I could not find the theater , perhaps because I
was not a protagonist and perhaps because I was not able to pick the
roles that the impresario or the director chose to me . Now get full
responsibility for my books. I do what I want, what I can. "
However, Georges Sari not only stayed in writing books children's
literature . He tried in every way to popularize the children's book and
keep alive and direct contact with the audience. So, he started going to
schools throughout Greece and make speeches. At times , through
some articles and participate in literary discussions , took an active
part in issues related to children's literature , such as comic books , the
themes of children's books and a woman's place in it.

with the Treasure Vayia until today , has written twenty
novels , a novel , four children's theatrical works and nine
books for young children . Also to its credit has fourteen
novels translations from the French. All her books have
made several revisions and some of them have received

Prolific and widely read , stands on the issues chosen for their human heroes , living
and experiencing daily problems of life , for the simple style , the removal of simple
and classic narrative techniques for direct and non- teaching approach and
presentation of the child through its projects and its overall vision around the modern
child . What characterizes all of her work is experiential writing and the need to
express through it . A need , as she confesses , helps the writer to save himself : " The
authors write first and foremost for themselves , to express themselves first and
foremost , to be saved ." In this way the Georges Sari can " live " in different situations
and seasons and recreates them with great conviction . Her works become lively and
realistic personality , while readers ' feel ' as their own experience what the original
poster has so convincingly convey .
The experiential writing, however, which itself has many times admitted, does not
exclude the creative imagination and fictional elements, which are present in all
projects. Her books «knit myth to history " and thus built the novel. The core of her
work can be touches and experiential reality, but the development of the plot
contains many fantastic elements.
