Media Kit March 2009 - About Us History BlogTalkRadio is a robust platform that was launched in August 2006 that enables the new technologies of Web 2.0 and social media with truly interactive audio conversations, live programming and multiple distribution opportunities. The BTR community includes over 10,000 hosts who have created over 200,000 radio shows to date and is growing every day. It is a technology that allows anyone (individual, organization, major brand, etc.) to host a live streaming radio show from anywhere in the world using any type of telephone. Management Team Alan Levy, CEO - Alan Levy is co-founder and CEO of BlogTalkRadio. He is also the host of the Alan Levy Show. Alan is also the founder of Myphonecompany.com (a VOIP Telecom company). Prior to this, Alan was President and COO of Destia. Destia's May 1999 IPO was shortly followed in December 1999 by the sale of the company to Viatel in a transaction valued in excess of $1 billion. Prior to joining Destia, Alan, a CPA, held the CFO, Managing Director of Europe and EVP Legal and Finance positions at Viatel. Bob Charish, COO - Bob Charish is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at BlogTalkRadio. Prior to co-founding BlogTalkRadio, Bob was the COO of Xchange Telecom (a NY based CLEC) and MyPhoneCompany (a VOIP Telecom company). Prior to that Bob was Vice President of Pre Paid services of Destia Communications, a division responsible for generating $110 million of annual revenue.
