Death Is Not A Choice (107)

  1. 1. Death Is Not A ChoiceBy David S. RobertsThis is a difficult subject with emotions running very heavy on both sides of the issue. Many fear tostrategy this subject with good reason, few want to take the remain that I will and perform because ofmy own deep prosecutions about this topic. In preparation with this article, several sad truths came tolight. First, there is a deadly contradiction at work in American society. Second, there is an underlyingvalue being overlooked in American society. And third, there is a terrible apathy about this subject inunited states society. You will not agree with every thing I write, and thats alright, I would simply askthat you simply listen and open the mind and your heart to the message.I.There is a lethal Contradiction at Work.We all saw the headlines. I do not think that there was one of us that wasnt shocked when we heardthat Susan smith drove that car to the lake with her children within. She killed them because, now asa newly divorced mom, they had become inconvenient, disposable because her love life wassuffering. The outrage of the country was immediate, phone callers to radio stations everywheredemanding that she be worked the same fate she offered her sons, trapped in a vehicle, at thebottom of a lake.Or what about Andrea Yates or even Kasey Anthony what person with a quarter of a mind didntscream out, God whats happening? or even what about the case of the man charged with vehicularhomicide more than a few years ago because the pregnant woman he struck suffered a losing theunborn baby The outcry is there, an infant is dead and the mom suffers a loss, and the communitycries out to stop this kind of misfortune, but provide that same man a license and a clinic and also thebaby he just wiped out becomes just another fetus. And theres NO OUTCRY!What about the pregnant lady who was charged with, get this, reckless endangerment of LIFE whenshe disregarded the judges orders to quit using medicines and used again? What about the teenager who was charged with felony child abandonment, when she left thewomans newborn child in the trash bin in an alley? We all think, how might a mother kill her own kid But given the right circumstances, not one of thesecrimes could be prosecuted because in some cases, the fetus is a baby, as well as in others its just amass of cells. There is a deadly contradiction at work here. The discussion for abortion used to center aroundwhether the fetus was really a living human. But the pro-abortion folk lost that discussion in everyround, so the discussion has changed focus. Whether the fetus is human or otherwise is no longerthe issue. Its PRO-CHOICE!For the woman who wants the womans unborn child, the man who eliminates the child, accidentally,is faced with murder. For the woman that doesnt want the child, she is charged $425 by a man thatkills her child lawfully. For the Andrea Yates or Kasey Anthonys of the world, theyre consideredmonsters, for the lady emerging from the abortion clinic, she is a hero of generous causes. There isalso a deadly contradiction in the news media, (surprised?) we all heard about the Florida abortion
  2. 2. doctor who was gunned lower in his home, it was on 24/7 until the killer had been caught and jailed. How many of us heard about the Pro-Choice advocate who stormed right into a church service oneweekend and gunned down the Pro-Life Minister? Where was that on the news? Or what about thewoman who bled to death within hours of her abortion from the very clinic that the doctor who hadbeen gunned down worked in. What about the woman who was dismissed from her job at US Westfor wearing a pro-life pin to work Was there any protection of that? Outside of locally, no there wasnot. Did you hear any kind of news of the prayer team who were meeting outside an abortion clinicwho were beaten by police as they place on the ground? Or about the truck that deliberately andslowly ran over the pro-life activists, trying to deliver a woman to get an abortion? What concerning the complaints from abortion treatment centers to the billboards being built neartheir places of business that show a picture of the murdered unborn child. Pro-Choice advocates callthem "tacky, in bad taste, and offensive". In other words, as long as what we are doing in here is notvisible to the naked eye, then its legal, protected and acceptable. But how dare you show otherpeople what we do! Do any of these cases sound familiar to you, heard about them in the media? No,and you wont because as anyone with half the brain knows now-a-days, the media has an agendaalmost all their own.But think of it, when it is option that determines whether an action is murder or even acceptable, thenwe have removed any standard of right and wrong. Choice doesnt make the determination of life vs.NOn-life, life is life irrespective, the choice is in the taking of that life and that is not one that we havethe right to make. This brings us to our second truth.II.There is definitely an Underlying Value being overlooked.Life is important to lord. From the life of the unborn child to the life of the retiree, life is important toGod.Psalm 139:13-15"For you created my personal inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise aperson because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your functions are wonderful, I know that fullwell. My frame was not hidden from you when I is made in the secret place."Jeremiah 1:4-5"The word of the head of the family came to me saying, "prior to I formed you within the womb I knewa person, before you were born i set you apart; we appointed you as a prophet to the nations."In reading through these and other passages, we see that life is important to lord, including the life ofthe unborn child, whom God knows, who God forms, whom lord can set apart. However in thiscountry, choice has become God. We are ignoring a typical God Himself set. When we ignore thevalue of life in favor of choice, the choice then needs to extend to the the children whore born, butwho become hard to manage, to seniors parents who become not capable of fending for themselves, and to the actual handicapped who dont "bring about our society".And if you feel that this sounds cruel, or even farfetched, listen a moment. In the Netherlands, whereabortion is and has been socially appropriate for more years than it has been here, they passed aeuthanasia law allowing individuals to kill themselves if they therefore wish. But today, in the holland,
  3. 3. doctors in emergency areas are given the option of whether to spend the time and efforts trying toconserve a life, as a matter of truth they have issued little cards much like our organ donor cards thatsay basically, "please dont let me die, try to save me." If an accident victim does not have that card, the doctors make which persons final determination whether they will live or pass away. And it wasjust ten years ago that they introduced a law that would allow parents of any child born sightless, deaf, retarded, or severely handicapped to decide if that child should be allowed to live, or left tostarve to death alone in an remoteness ward.CHOICE HAS BECOME lord ! Now its no longer a problem whether the life is human or otherwise, now its a matter of the parents, a doctors, the stressed out adult childs word, and a life can belawfully discarded as if it were trash. With respect for life is so scarce, no wonder weve got kids killing kids just to see what it would feellike. You might say, Dave, how about the arguments the pro-abortion people use? Is the unborn infanthuman? Well, the holy bible says so, and for me that is good enough. But for people who cant acceptthe actual Bible, what about Science? technology says so too. Life is understood to be that which hasability to reproduce itself, and from the moment associated with conception, when each cell dividesand reproduces, thats life. Some use the "it is my body" argument against ending abortion, when in actuality, its not thewomans body. The child is incorporated in the womans body, but is actually distinct and separatefrom the woman, often having a various blood type than the lady. This is not a procedure to removethe tumor, it is a violent behave of murder upon an innocent human infant. However lets just say thisisnt the case that the baby really is part of her entire body. We dont allow a woman to inject illegaldrugs into her body. We dont allow her to sell her body in prostitution, except within Vegas, so thatshouldnt truly surprise anyone. So if we do not give a woman a right to complete these things, howcan she need the right to murder her unborn child under the guise of "its her body".It is a false debate entirely. But Dave, you might say, what about the children who are delivered handicapped. Wouldnt their"standard of living " mean anything to you? let me answer you this way, once the right of anotherperson to reside comes down to the judgment of their contribution to society, or even theircomprehension as to the world around them, then we open the floodgates for increase moraldisintegration. There are lots of healthy, sane people who only contribution to our society is withinraising their children right, id say that is a great factor to society. We wouldnt have the inspirationalstories associated with Helen Keller, Ray Charles, or any other handicapped individual who may nothave contributed like Keller or even Charles but perhaps theyve value because life is important toGod. And He values them. But lets use this same logic. Shouldnt we then because was done in the movie, Logans Run, set anage limit up to which one may live? In the movie age was 30, now, composing as a 40 year old, iwould object to this policy, but lets say set it at sixty five. After all, they are done operating then, sotherefore cannot contribute any more to society. So all Senior Citizens upon reaching 65 years of age
  4. 4. will be humanely put to sleep, medical costs would plummet, Social Security might be saved, butwhat for and nursing homes would no longer be a necessity.Sound heartless? life is life, whether it is the unborn child, or the retiree. And a lady no more has themoral to the choice to end her unborn childs life than i have to end hers, yours, or anyone elses. Isthe unborn child a life? Consider these details :The unborn child has a heartbeat by the 18th day.The unborn childs mind begins to function at forty days. The unborn child breathes, moves and sleeps. The unborn child grows, hiccups, and sucks his thumb. The unborn child is operated on to correct defects which is how they learned that the actual unbornchild feels pain. The unborn child is fully formed before the mother actually knows she is pregnant. The unborn child can survive outside the womb at 20 weeks and with current technology improving, that number will get pushed back to 19,eighteenAbortions can be performed on these types of unborn children up to as soon as of their birth. Mostpeople arent aware of what happens in an abortion, and though not pleasant, the truth is youve beenlied to regarding the normalcy and ease of this procedure. Abortion is a violent, dangerous procedure.I will not explain the methods used, I choose to not. What I will describe to you are the saddest cases, the babies who are not desired, but are toodeveloped to become murdered without risk to the mother. They induce work, and the child is left onits own in a room separate in the viewing room at the hospital. They are allowed to starve to death, some who are as well developed are taken component way out of the womb while the doctorstrangles the life out of the child, which upon death, is discarded in the trash.III.There is a horrible Apathy poisoning our Culture. There is a terrible apathy harming our culture. Weve got people going all out for all causes. Theres acar driving around Kissimmee with loads of bumper peel off stickers on the back, among them tend tobe, "Save the Whales", "conserve the Manatees", "Meat is Murder" and finally, "I election Pro-Choice". In other words, save every thing but the humans! We possess people devoting time and energy to causes like saving the whale stuck in the ice flow, save the polar has from global warming, bring back the red M&M, but very few are even attempting tostop the murder of children !And the most tragic some of it all is that there is a terrible apathy among Christians when it comes tothis subject. We think that there is nothing that we can do since the problem is too big. But thatswrong, theres a lot we can do. If you choose to picket an abortion clinic, thats legitimate, otherwiselegal. If you choose to pray about the situation, that where our power comes from. Maybe you cansupport a pro-life organization monetarily, thats another choice. But the single most important thing you can do only takes a few moments of your time. And that is,you can vote Pro-Life. Disagree with me if you wish, what issue is more essential than the life of anunborn child Security of our nation? how long do you think we will stay secure if we keep offending
  5. 5. God by the murdering of the innocent? Romans 1:32 makes it clear that those that give approval tosinners for committing sin, are just as guilty as individuals committing the sin. So the next time you goto vote for the lesser of two evils, or for your union job and the candidate is for the murder of humanbabies, just imagine yourself with your fingers wrapped around the neck of a newborn, who camealong along with just bad timing, since your vote for a pro-abortion prospect is exactly the same asapproving, even committing the act of abortion. When I saw my child born 9 weeks prematurely struggling to breathe, along with wires coming outfrom all angles, I knew which no one would ever have the ability to tell me that abortion would be achoice any longer. Her hands were almost as heavy as a crayola marker, she was almost six pounds, and she was the biggest baby in the neo-natal ICU. Others arms were thinner than the usual #2pencil, tubes stuck down their throats letting them breathe, I watched since the nurses pricked heelsto draw blood and the expression on the faces of the infants in pain.I do not believe that anyone after seeing the size of a premature baby or one of those new 3Dimaging sonograms, I do not believe that anyone seeing that can still be for abortion withoutsurrendering their humanity in the process. The question is now what will you do about it, becausepassing away Is Not a Choice.Jeremiah 29
