A quick tutorial about using the internet archives for uploading your mp3 audio file for slidecasting.

The Internet archives are a terrific resource (www.archive.org). It is free, supports Creative Commons and has no limits on bandwidth. It readily gives a mp3 url that can be used in the slidecast.

Setting up an account is easy and takes a minute.

Even though audio files can be stored online in WAV format, it’s better to first convert them to MP3’s (a task easily accomplished using Audacity with the LAME encoder) so that you can syndicate them with an RSS feed.

If all of that sounded like techno babble to you, just remember, Google is your friend! Search for ’Audacity’, ’LAME’, ’RSS’ and ’podcast’ and everything will become clear.

In case you hadn’t got a response from the author (Amit), it is possible that the reason you’re seeing a different page is because Archive.org has changed it since the original post was made. Progressive websites have a tendency to change various aspects of their functionality fairly often. I’ll check it out sometime and let you and others know.

On another note, some who have downloaded this presentation may have had difficulty viewing it because it is an ODP (open document presentation) file. Instead of downloading Open Office to view it, you can use Zamzar ( www.zamzar.com ) to easily convert it to a PowerPoint (.ppt) file. That's what I did and it worked like a charm!

  • Ini adalah contoh presentation yang menarik. Penggunaan bahan yang bersesuaian serta model yang bermutu. Saya berminat untuk embed ke dalam website saya, iaitu www.ringtonesz.org/ dan www.lyrics-search.org/
