Theories Of Eruption Of Teeth

  1. 1. • There are many theories of eruption of teeth 1. Root formation 2. Bone remodeling 3. periodontal ligaments formation
  2. 2. Root formation • One of the theories is that the tooth is pushed upward into the mouth by the growth of the tooth's root.
  3. 3. Bone remodeling • Other theory that a tooth is pushed upward by the growth of the bone around the tooth.
  4. 4. PDL formation • This theory is that while several forces might be involved in eruption, the periodontal ligaments provide the main impetus for the process • the periodontal ligaments promote eruption through the shrinking and cross- linking of their collagen fibers and the contraction of their fibroblasts.
  5. 5. Cont…. PDL push the teeth to up
  6. 6. conclusion • these theories are contribute together to erupt the tooth. this called force theory. • force theory is Root formation, Bone remodeling and PDL formation are contribute together to erupt the tooth.
  7. 7. PDL Root Bone Force theory
