  • SSE Team: Each year this team of 15-20 volunteers from throughout the country assists in developing chapters and supporting them with plans for both MLK Day of Service and National AmeriCorps Week events. Each member of this team works closely with the national office of AmeriCorps Alums

Who are AmeriCorps Alums? <ul><li>Overall they are MORE satisfied with their life </li></ul><ul><li>60% get careers in the public sector </li></ul><ul><li>Over 70% remain civically engaged (volunteer, vote, get active in community, etc.) </li></ul><ul><li>Over half go on to higher education </li></ul><ul><li>Study/Serve/Travel Abroad </li></ul><ul><li>Inadvertently become AmeriCorps PR! </li></ul><ul><li>Join/start a local Chapter of AmeriCorps Alums </li></ul>

Take the Lead <ul><li>Offer to lead or co-lead your local chapter </li></ul><ul><li>Start a chapter in your city or region </li></ul><ul><li>Serve on your chapter’s leadership council </li></ul><ul><li>Become a committee chair for your chapter </li></ul><ul><li>Offer to fundraise/get donations </li></ul>
