To me, a goal and a smartgoal are two completely dif f erent things. A smart goal is when youhave a clear vision of the outcome. A goal is just what you want toaccomplish. It is generic or not something that you can picture. T heseare not actual def initions, just the way I see it!A smart goal needs to be laid out in great detail and using all of yoursenses. When you can clearly see what you want and you takemassive action..you will achieve your goal!Let me give you an example:Goal: When I started with Empower Network I didn’t know exactlywhat I wanted. My goal was to grow my ViSalus business. T hat was it.No clear outcome of what I wanted the results to be (How many newcustomers did I want to get? In what time f rame? How much moneywould that make me? How would I spend that money? Would itchange my lif e?)Smart Goal: Now my goal has completely transf ormed. I am stillhoping to grow my business, but my f ocus has shif ted to the opportunity that Empower Network has toof f er and what it can do f or me. So, I set my “smart goal” f or the duration of 90 days. I did this last night,and without realizing it until I counted it out…DAY 90 FALLS ON MY BIRT HDAY Coincidence or a sign?I recorded my outcome statement so that I can listen to it as of ten as possible. I can see it, I really can!I know that I will accomplish this. T his is my vision f or my outcome: I, Amber Fox, am sitting at my desk at home in Chocowinity, NC. The date is April 15th, 2013. It is my birthday (Happy 27th to me!) I have just logged in to my Empower Network back office. I am checking my earnings as an affiliate from January 15th, 2013 to April 15th, 2013. As I add the totals, I hear my kids playing together in the other room. I feel the tears streaming down my face and taste them as they fall into my mouth. In those 90 days, I have earned $48,000.00 in commissions. That is nearly 2 times what I would have made at Joe Pecheles (my 9-5 job) in ONE YEAR. I call my husband over and give him the news. We celebrate and call the kids down to tell them as well. Mommy has reached her goal and made her dreams come true. As a reward, I am quitting my job, Daddy will be working only part time, and WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY LAND!
