One: Focus on Quality, Not Quantity <ul><li>Don’t blindly follow people, with the hope of getting a follow back from them </li></ul><ul><li>Make sure your followers qualify to be in your target market </li></ul><ul><li>Having 10,000 irrelevant followers for your brand is as ineffective as having 0 </li></ul>

Two: Expect for Rudeness, But Don’t Be Rude <ul><li>Unlike traditional media, Social Media is two-way, and interactive </li></ul><ul><li>They can’t tell you “your brand sucks!” as a response to a TV commercials </li></ul><ul><li>But they can do so on Twitter! </li></ul><ul><li>Loud enough to be heard by other customers! </li></ul><ul><li>Don’t react to rudeness with rudeness </li></ul><ul><li>You represent the brand </li></ul>
