Elementary Book Fair • The book fair will be held in the library and will be open from 8:00 AM-3:30 PM. • Family Shopping Night is on Tuesday, Sept. 10th from 5-7 PM. • Teachers will have a Book Fair Wish list that students can look at to buy books for their classroom. ****IMPORTANT INFO**** Focus Skills of the Week: Math: Adding and subtracting whole numbers and decimal numbers. Be ready for a “Shopping Spree” activity, where students will purchase items and provide change from a $20, $50, and $100 bill. Reading: Identify the plot, conflict and resolution within various texts. Students will learn to apply prior knowledge and experiences to make inferences and learn how to respond to text. Science: Identify steps of the scientific method in context. New vocabulary includes variables, independent variables, dependent variables, constants, and control groups.
