With experience in technical projects and market transformation, Aleisha directs BCAP activities for improving energy performance in residential and commercial buildings through building codes.

BCAP – BUILDING CODES ASSISTANCE PROJECT Created in 1994 to assist US states in adopting and implementing building energy codes Energy Policy Act of 1992 (identified national model energy codes) Policy requires states to adopt most current model codes Incentives provided through economic stimulus funding States are allowed to put in place an equivalent code OR add requirements that improve energy efficiency

BCAP – BUILDING CODES ASSISTANCE PROJECT A joint project of: the Alliance to Save Energy, the National Resource Defense Council, and the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy Provide resources, education & advocacy assistance for the adoption, implementation, & advancement of effective energy codes on behalf of US Department of Energy
