EPA Climate Regulatory Actions <ul><li>Endangerment Finding </li></ul><ul><ul><li>GHG emissions endanger public health and welfare </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Provides the legal basis for the Light-Duty Vehicle Rule </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Mandatory Reporting Rule </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Covers an estimated 85 percent of total U.S. GHG emissions </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Facilities begin collecting data January 2010 </li></ul></ul><ul><li>PSD/Tailoring Rule </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Would require the largest industrial facilities to adopt the most efficient technologies available when they are constructed or upgraded </li></ul></ul>

ENERGY STAR <ul><li>In 2009, Americans with the help of ENERGY STAR: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Prevented 45 million metric tons of GHG emissions– equivalent to 30 million vehicles </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Saved $17 billion on energy bills </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Purchased more than 3 billion qualified products </li></ul></ul><ul><li>These results are positioned to double over the next 10 years </li></ul>
