KEY TAKEAWAYS: There  was  a  big  up.ck  in  the  average  angel  round  na.onwide  from  2013  averages,  however  in  New   York  things  remained  rela.vely  steady.  We’ll  monitor  this  as  the  year  progresses.     NYC  accounted  for  14%  of  total  deals  which  is  on  par  with  2013  historical  averages. KEY TAKEAWAYS: The  average  series  A  round  in  NYC  was  up  a  76%  in  January  from  2013  averages.  While  the  Oscar  Health   round  ($30M)  did  impact  this,  there  were  other  Series  A  fundings  at  the  $10M+  level  including     Mashable,  Oyster,  Zachary  Prell,  and  One  Hour  Transla.on.  NYC’s  contribu.on  to  the  number  of  deals   remained  in  line  with  historical  averages. KEY TAKEAWAYS: While  certainly  there  is  not  a  cri.cal  mass  as  there  were  only  3  Series  B  deals  in  January  in  NYC,  the   average  funding  was  down  39%.    In  fact,  the  average  Series  A  round  in  NYC  was  larger  in  January  than   the  average  B  Round.
