Job description Job title: Business Development Manager Reporting to: Director of Operations External relationships: Blue chip and SME clients to director level on both marketing and technical teams Internal relationships: Senior management, senior team, marketing, finance and administration Department: FareShare 1st Date: April 2010 Aim: To develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income for FareShare 1st to an agreed annual target Dimensions: To research, identify, pitch to and recruit new clients in order to achieve market share, revenues and profit growth Salary £40k (negotiable depending on experience) Circumstances Job based in London The role will require substantial national travel and occasional overnight stays KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Act as an ambassador for FareShare at all times, representing the organisation at external and internal events, acting as a spokesperson when required • Business • Implement a business plan to achieve the revenue and margin targets for the company • Recruit and account manage new clients • Manage the relationships with FareShare 1st clients to maximise profitability and goodwill. • On the basis of forecasted business make recommendations concerning the management and control of stock levels so as to maximise income from any stock • Present FareShare 1st to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails • Responsible for your own lead generation and appointment setting • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close • Manage and maintain a pipeline and ensure all sales administration is current • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following FareShare 1st procedures
