There are 4 basic varieties: "Blonde", "Black", “Cigar" and “Oriental”.
Blonde tobacco: It has a yellow-orange colour. It is mostly cultivated
in Brazil, India, Zimbabwe, Turkey and the United States.
Black tobacco: it is similar to the blonde tobacco, but it is thicker and
Oriental tobacco : it is the smallest and most robust of all the types of
tobacco. It is cultivated in Turkey and in Middle East; in summer, when
temperatures are high.
Cigar : A cigar is a tightly-rolled bundle of dried and fermented tobacco.
Cigar tobacco is grown in significant quantities in Brazil, Cameroon,
Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Indonesia, Mexico,
Nicaragua, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Canary Islands (Spain), Italy
and the Eastern United States.
