  2. 2. Low tolerancevvGregory- represents a student, that is gay ( thus a part of the LGBTsociety) . People are not aware that other than sexuality he’s just like them,so they are not accepting him and Greg is being tortured, laughed at etc.We have portrayed the problems Gregory faces by showing hisinteractions with other students. We have chosen this particular publicissue, because at ACS, even though we are more accepting, still there’sroom for improvement.v
  3. 3. Inter nal homophobia, bullyingvVictor-has internal homophobia, which leads to his bullying of gayguys. However, he has developed internal homophobia, because in hiseveryday life he sees gays being bullied, thus, his phobia is something likea defense mechanism. We showed Victor’s internal problems by showinghis interactions with “Faggory”. This issue was chosen due to the factthat we wanted to show why sometimes boys develop internalhomophobia and another reason why LGBT people are bullied.v
  4. 4. Parents and Dr ugsvDavid (Da Weed)- representative of kids with problems with theirparents, who have decided to take drugs, so that they no longer care or atleast think about that. Furthermore, he has decided that he needs to takehis life into his own hands, so he has started an easy business, whichcould provide him with a lot of easy and fast money. We have decided toshow this public issue in particular, because in ACS the problem of drugusage is a really developed and actual problem, from which a lot ofstudents suffer.v
  5. 5. Society and substance usag evBoriana- represents a rebel, meaning that what she doesn’t like, she doesn’t do.Furthermore, she is considered to be an outsider, because she doesn’t want to beshallow and she has more profound thoughts which lead to her not wanting to haveany connection with the “high class” students. Because of all these disagreementsshe faces, she just like Da weed, wants to escape in some way from these problems. We have showed this by showing her interaction with other students and usage ofdrugs and alcohol. We showed this problems as another reason why student decideto take drugs.
  6. 6. The Social PushvVanessa- represents a student who has been pushed from society todo pertain things like psychological bullying in order to fit in thesociety. We showed in our movie this, by showing her behavior beforeand after she had enough of all of these activities that she does notenjoy and agree with. We chose this problem, because in Acs manystudent pretend to be someone else just to fit in and may harmthemselves and a lot of other people while doing this.v
  7. 7. The Social Push 2vMia-represents again a student that has been pushed by society to dosome things such as starving, doing diets etc. Moreover, the other girlshave smashed so much her self-confidence that she wants to hook upwith several different boys, so that she can prove to herself that she isactually a great person. However, this leads to her getting pregnant. Weshowed this problem by showing her eating problems and pregnancy. Thechoosing of this problem was due to the fact that many girls at ACS dodiets and hook up almost randomly with guys.v
  8. 8. Old-fashioned beliefsvNicky- represents a student, that has been brought up withextremely right beliefs and thus, has low tolerance for minorities. Dueto that, she is teasing them. We have showed her behavior byrepresenting various chats she has with or for those groups. Thispublic issue was chosen by us, because of the same reason we chosethe homophobia towards Greg. We decided, that we want to explainwhy homophobia and bad treatment as a whole of minorities occur.v
  9. 9. RacismvOmar is our representative of the ACS’s internationals, and theirproblems with the majorities of society. Omar is being tortured forhis beliefs and ethnicity. Furthermore, he’s being bullied. We showedthis issue form his physical and psychical interactions. We includedthis public issue due to the low tolerance of majorities towardsminorities.
