SUMMARY
During the summer, Jem and Dill become closer
leaving Scout feeling left out.
Scout starts to spend her time with one of the
neighbors, Miss Maudie Atkinson.
Miss Maudie Atkinson exposes the truth of Boo
Radley to Scout, telling her he still alive.
Dill, Jem and Scout decides to give Boo Radley
a note, but they get caught by Atticus
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
1) Miss Maudie is a widow, who spends a lot of
time outside on her garden and porch. The
relationship between Scout and Miss Maudie
is a mutual trusting friendship.
2) They are essentially Baptists who take the
Bible literally. Miss Maudie says they believe
anything that is pleasurable is a sin.
3) They plan to get a fishing pole, and attach a
note to it that asks Boo Radley to come out.
Their plan is foiled by Atticus who catches
them in the act.
