Alcatel-Lucent CTO Marcus Weldon outlined the ways in which telco service providers and increasingly webscale and large-scale enterprises are deploying ultrabroadband networks that embrace cloud technology (both SDN and Virtualization/NFV) to create a unified ‘Cloud IP’ network with an unprecedented level of control that can be simply accessed and programmed by applications to allow continuous and seamless optimization of the Enterprise and Consumer user experience, ubiquitously.

This keynote address was given at Broadband World Forum 2013 on October 22, 2013.
