• A Prayer of Peace
Dear heavenly father in Heaven, to Allah the one true God, to Gia the mother Earth, to Confucius and the Buddha vista and to the sprit of the creator.
It is I, one of the many that worship one of you or all of you or neither.
Father in heaven, where were you when I was sitting all alone at a computer in March 2007?
Allah where were you when I was sitting all alone at a computer in September 2009?
Gia where were you in between and after those times?
Confucius what were the wise words that you said that have helped sustain me?
Buddha how much suffering must a man take before he reaches nirvana?
The war in Afghanistan, please can it stop?
To those out there in the world that have been labelled and categorise as a Terrorist by government nations, please can you stop the fighting.
How do we achieve peace in this world?
When we start seeing people as people, individual people that have feelings and thoughts and dreams and fears and want to live out their days in peace.
We need to stop looking at people as Christian, or Muslim or Jew or Shiite or Sunni or Greek Orthodox or Roman Catholic or Anglican or Mormon.
We are all are human beings first, and a human of a religion, second.
As we grow up we are all drawn to different beliefs and understandings of Religion. Yes there are those out there that have read the writings of various religion texts and distort those truths within to justify the deaths of innocent people in the name of a holy war.
What each generation and generation before them have to do is learn from those that have gone before us and to live in balance amongst each other in Peace. Over time we have failed at this all to often. Please let this generation be different.
I ask that people that read this, do whatever you want with it. Share it with others or not, use it at a church or mosque or synagogue if you want.
Alberto Kang
Founder of the Future Generation Lobby
