Work Out Your Own SALVATION Philippians 2:12-13 Ephesians 2:8-10
Philippians 2:12-13
12. So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13. for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.
If you have a problem…
“work it out”
Man has a problem
However, it is a bigger problem than we can handle
Look at the world in which we live
Sin
The most direct effect of sin
Separation from God
Isaiah 59:1-2
Behold, Jehovah's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, so that he will not hear.
Working ON the problem
God has provided a WAY
To remove sin: forgiveness
Available through GRACE
Jesus is the WAY
John 14:6
Acts 4:12 (the ONLY way)
Acts 2:36-41

A calling… an admonition…
SAVE YOURSELVES
Acts 2:40 And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.
vs. 41 They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added unto them in that day about three thousand souls.
For by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
