4. 4. A Temple of the Holy Spirit

Such are individual Christians – 1 Corinthians 6:19

The church collectively is a habitation of God in the Spirit – Ephesians 2:22

 5. 6. OT Tabernacle
 6. 7. Exodus 25

8. And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them .

9. According to all that I show thee, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the furniture thereof, even so shall ye make it.

 7. 8. Exodus 29

43. And there I will meet with the children of Israel; and the Tent shall be sanctified by my glory .

44. And I will sanctify the tent of meeting, and the altar: Aaron also and his sons will I sanctify, to minister to me in the priest's office.

45. And I will dwell among the children of Israel , and will be their God.

46. And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I might dwell among them : I am Jehovah their God.

 8. 9. Deuteronomy 23

12. Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

13. and thou shalt have a paddle among thy weapons; and it shall be, when thou sittest down abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

14. for Jehovah thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

 9. 10.

Deuteronomy 4:37 And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out with his presence , with his great power, out of Egypt;

 10. 11. The Tent of Meeting Exodus 33:7-10
 11. 12. Exodus 33

7. Now Moses used to take the tent and to pitch it without the camp, afar off from the camp; and he called it, The tent of meeting. And it came to pass, that every one that sought Jehovah went out unto the tent of meeting, which was without the camp.

8. And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the Tent, that all the people rose up, and stood, every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the Tent.

9. And it came to pass, when Moses entered into the Tent, the pillar of cloud descended, and stood at the door of the Tent: and Jehovah spake with Moses.

10. And all the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the door of the Tent: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man at his tent door.

11. And Jehovah spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his minister Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the Tent.

 12. 13. Exodus 36

1. And Bezalel and Oholiab shall work, and every wise-hearted man, in whom Jehovah hath put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that Jehovah hath commanded.

2. And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whose heart Jehovah had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:

3. and they received of Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, wherewith to make it. And they brought yet unto him freewill-offerings every morning.

4. And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they wrought.

 13. 14. Exodus 40

33. And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.

34. Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

35. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of meeting, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

 14. 15. Exodus 40

36. And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys:

37. but if the cloud was not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.

38. For the cloud of Jehovah was upon the tabernacle by day, and there was fire therein by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

 15. 20. OT Temple
 16. 21. 1 Kings 6

1. And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Jehovah.

2. And the house which king Solomon built for Jehovah, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.

 17. 22. 1 Kings 6:7

And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

 18. 23. 2 Chronicles 5

1. Thus all the work that Solomon wrought for the house of Jehovah was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

 19. 24. 2 Chronicles 5

4. And all the elders of Israel came: and the Levites took up the ark;

5. and they brought up the ark, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent; these did the priests the Levites bring up.

6. And king Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.

 20. 25. 2 Chronicles 5

11. And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, (for all the priests that were present had sanctified themselves, and did not keep their courses;

12. also the Levites who were the singers, all of them, even Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brethren, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets;)

13. it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking Jehovah; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised Jehovah, saying, For he is good; for his lovingkindness endureth for ever; that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of Jehovah,

14. so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of Jehovah filled the house of God.
