  1. 1. • A QR Code- “Quick Response” is a mobile phone readable barcode. • In its simplest form it is a print based hyperlink • If the right QR coding software is available it will send the phone to a link hidden within the code
  2. 2. Its applications: • It can bring hyperlinks into the “real world” • It can be put on virtually anything • It puts the onus onto the customer and encourages customer engagement.
  3. 3. • We have an opportunity to use this to our advantage • QR codes are free • Colours can be changed to become branded
  4. 4. • If harnessed well by companies this can be a great way to increase impulse buying. • It can be used in a variety of ways, people use them for competitions, to offer prizes, free delivery • It’s a new and niche market, but with the rise of smart phones, it could really take off
