ADULTS & SENIORS
Follow Us
Stay Connected
Beginning in October, our Stay
Connected program will encourage
youth and seniors to work together
and engage in hands-on technology
training. Currently, we are recruiting
volunteers that have extensive
experience with iPads, tablets,
Skype, social media platforms and
online games, to teach one-on-one
educational sessions for seniors.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years
of age and pass a criminal reference
check. High school students will
receive volunteer credit, and foreign
college and university students
can use their volunteer hours as
Canadian work experience. Speaking
another language is an asset, but not
required.
If you are interested in volunteering,
please contact 905-683-4000,
ext. 8806.
For participants, training sessions
will be one hour in length, and
registration is required. More details
will follow on our website about
the types of sessions we will offer.
Registration begins Sept. 15.
LIBRARIES INSPIRE
Ontario Public Library Week
October is designated as Canadian Library Month.
Throughout Canada, the month raises public awareness

libraries have on all of us.
